Kamasan B800 size 10 hook. Uni- thread 6/0 black. Few fibres of cock pheasant dyed black for tail. Body of Wapsi brown olive rabbit dubbing ribbed with strand of gold Krystal Flash. Veniards yellow calf tail for throat hackle and wing. Comment – this is my version of the Mr Rapidan Streamer created by Harry Murray and featuring in his book, ‘Fly-Fishing Techniques for Smallmouth Bass’. Unfortunately there is no detailed description of the pattern so I have had to guess. Being a UK perch fly fisher I am interested in these smallmouth patterns.
