Kamasan B120 size 12 hook. Uni-thread 8/0 black. Rear half of body is Ripple Flash silver tinsel followed by Hends peacock dubbing of black green with violet effect (9). Body ribbed with silver wire. Rear hackle of Indian hen cape dyed grizzle magenta. Head hackle of natural black hen cape. Note – this is my version of George Barron’s creation he devised to fish the Welsh reservoirs and Llyns. It is named after the S.A.S. who used to train on Nant-y-Moch reservoir near his home. The original uses natural peacock herl. The fly features in his book, ‘At the end of the line’. A ‘must buy ‘ for any lake fly angler.
