Kamasan B120 size 12 hook. Uni-thread 8/0 black. Rear half of body wrapped with holographic silver tinsel. Front half of body wrapped with two natural peacock herls. All ribbed with fine silver wire. Rear hackle of Indian hen grizzle cape dyed magenta with natural black hen cape front hackle. Comment – this is my version of George Barron’s S.A.S pattern created for fishing Nant-y-Moch reservoir in the Welsh hills, where the SAS used to train. This pattern and many others are featured in George Barron’s excellent books, ‘At The End Of The Line’ & ‘A Fine Line’.
