Roger’s Fancy (variant)

Sprite S2175 size 14 hook. Danvilles Flymaster 6/0 light grey thread.. Semperfli floss fluo red for tag at both ends of fly. Body of 2/3 fibres of cock pheasant tail feather dyed heron grey ribbed with fine silver wire. Blue dun hen cape hackle. Note – this is my version of one of Roger Woolley’s Derbyshire grayling dressings, although I have used fluorescent thread, pheasant tail dyed heron grey as substitute for heron feather and silver wire instead of silver tinsel.
