Kamasan B120 size 12 hook. Semperfli 12/0 black classic waxed thread. Butt of Vicuña Red Baron dubbing from their dry fly range. Body of Vicuña Black Claret dubbing from their Irish Range. Body ribbed with gold wire. Hen pheasant hackle from the wing, one wrap. Whiting Greenwell hen cape hackle, 2 or 3 wraps. Comment – this is my version of a dressing by George Barron, as detailed in his book ‘At The End Of The Line’. I have used a hen pheasant hackle instead of hen pheasant secondary feather for the wing. I prefer the movement of the hackle.
