Kamasan B120 size 14 hook. Semperfli 12/0 black classic waxed thread. Rear half of body holographic silver tinsel followed by dubbed scarlet Vicuña dubbing., all ribbed with silver wire. Indian hen cape black hackle. Note – this is a dressing by C V Hancock , a former Angling Correspondent of the ‘Birmingham Post’ for 35 years, also author of ‘Rod in Hand’(1958). He fished the Welsh Borderlands for many years. This pattern is a ‘Peter Ross’ variant. It is very effective – a fly I fished on the Welsh Dee and River Vyrnwy with much success.
