Sprite S1800 size 10 streamer hook. Uni-thread 8/0 orange. Body of 4/5 white Ostrich herls wrapped and ribbed with silver wire. Cock pheasant tail feather fibres for wing case. Hends Spectra hot fluo orange dubbing (294) for the thorax. Comment – this fly was created by John Goddard. Apparently he wanted a nondescript stillwater pattern that had to be fairly large to attract trout from a distance. It can be fished slow and deep or faster near the surface. It has been a very successful pattern. (NB – the original dressing had an orange seals fur body – I couldn’t resist using Spectra dubbing).
