Hends BL547 size 14 hook. Uni-thread 8/0 dark brown. Weight added by close wrapping gold wire, later used for ribbing. Vicuña natural and hot orange hare’s ear substitute dubbing wrapped tightly to create body then ribbed with gold wire. Partridge neck hackle. Note – this is a pattern I used many years ago on the rivers of North Wales, although it wasn’t always ribbed then.
