Kamasan B800 size 12 hook. Uni- thread 6/0 dark brown. Few fibres of cock pheasant tail dyed olive. Body wrapped with Hareline variegated olive and black chenille, which is ribbed with fine dark copper wire. Thorax of dark olive Hareline hare’s ear plus dubbing. Whiting Brahma hen mottled grey cape dyed olive hackle. Two wraps. Comment – until recently I have never tied with chenille, always regarding it as rather lifeless. That was until I saw a newly tied fly with a chenille body in the water the other day. My next post shows this fly ‘wet’.
