Sprite S2499 size 16 hook. Semperfli 12/0 black classic waxed thread.Body of thread wrapped with UNI-Mylar pearl then wrapped in tight touching turns with Hends body glass half round transparent (01). Thread head. The fly is then treated with Sally Hansen’s ‘ Hard as Nails’ varnish. Comment – the true green based sparkly colouring is not shown in the photo. A few years ago I used this pattern in #16 & #18 on the river for bleak – it was very successful.
