Sprite S2160 size 14 hook. Danville’s Flymaster 6/0 white thread. Toho 15/0 silver lined crystal clear glass seed bead followed by 3mm silver tungsten bead with the countersunk end next to seed bead. Collins hen saddle grizzle hackle tied in reverse. Body of one strand of Jamieson’s Shetland Spindrift oyster (290) wool wrapped over the thread and finished off with a whip finish ( I always double whip my flies, regardless of size, but rarely use head cement ). Note – this fly was created by Rae Leason of Tenkara Stuff. His version was tied on Morikawa Japanese hooks incorporating a preformed weighted head. Rae has fished Tenkara style for over 30+ years in the UK. The KBK has been around for many years, well before the Tenkara style ‘hit’ the USA in the early 2000s .
