My Kebari version of a very traditional fly, a Grouse & Claret.
Hook: Barbless wet fly #12
Thread: Uni- thread Wine 8/0 for body & Uni- thread black 8/0 for the head.
Hackle: Grouse body plumage
Tail: Golden Pheasant tippets
Rib: Lagartun gold wire small size
Body: Sunrise Shetland Spindrift wool
Thorax: Wine (9) Hends Hare plus dubbing with Spectra flash
[NB – spectra flash not visible in the photo but it is a subtle pearl flash and I can assure you it is there]
