Hends BL547 sizes 14 & 16 hooks. Cobweb 6/0 yellow thread well waxed to produce an olive colour effect. Whiting Brahma hen cream badger hackle with a few whisks for the tail. This is my version of a fly created by Walter Gallichan (1861 – 1946) for fishing the Welsh and Shropshire streams. It can be tied and fished wet or dry. The photo is of the River Rothay, which flows out of Grasmere Lake in the English Lake District.
