Grey Nymph ( based on Sawyer’s S.S. Nymph)

Kamasan B120 size 14 hook. Danville’s Flymaster 6/0 light gray thread. Few fibres from a grey goose feather for the tail, body and thorax. Dark red copper wire from an electric motor is used to rib the body as well as create a ‘bump’ in thorax region. The remains of the goose fibres are doubled back to form a wing case. Note – I think Frank Sawyer tied this with a darker grey goose wing feather. Incidentally when wet the copper wire colouring will be more pronounced.
