Few fibres of a cock pheasant tail feather wrapped to form the body, which is ribbed with dark fine copper wire. The remnants of pheasant tail fibres form the wing case over a thorax of dubbed rabbit blue under-fur. The tying thread forms a collar between the thorax and bead. Note – this dressing is a Cove Nymph with a glass bead. It is based on the ‘Mercury’ series of patterns devised by Pat Dorsey, an author and guide from Colorado, USA.
