Coachman Wet Fly (variant).

Hends BL599 size 14 hook. Uni-thread 8/0 dark brown. Body of two herls of peacock herl dyed magenta. Wing formed from a bunch of fibres from a white Indian hen saddle hackle. Hackle from a dark red brown hen cape hackle. Note – the original pattern calls for bronze peacock herl instead I have used magenta which gives a similar effect. Ideally white duck satin feathers should be used for the wing. However a bunch of fibres from an appropriate coloured hackle can be effective. Dave Hughes, an American Author of some note uses hackle fibres for his wings.
