Indian hen black cape hackle tied sparingly but long in fibre. Note – this pattern is a spider type fly from Scotland, created by Joe Black from Falkirk. The dressing is detailed in a book covering Tom Stewart’s, a professional fly dresser, monthly articles in the ‘Trout & Salmon’ magazine from the late 1950s until Tom passed away in 1975.
