Black Ant wet fly

Hends BL454 size 20 hook. Semperfli Classic waxed thread 12/0 black. Two Toho 15/0 black glass seed beads to simulate the body. Small Indian hen black cape hackle.Note – this dressing is my version of Ed Koch’s tying of his wet black ant that appeared in his book, ‘Fishing the Midge’ (1972), although he used varnished tying thread for the body. I find this simple fly very successful.
